FAQ
Common questions
Direct answers on opening and running an Israeli payment account.
Can a foreign company open an Israeli payment account?
Yes — once payment accounts launch, this is exactly the client they are designed for: a foreign entity with Israeli presence or activity that the banking system keeps waiting. Onboarding runs digitally, a local representative is appointed where required, and FATCA and CRS classification and reporting are handled per participant.
How is this different from a bank account?
Payment accounts will be offered once our PSP license is granted. They will support corporate operations and transaction flows, with client funds segregated from the provider’s own assets. Additional Psagot Equity services will be available through a shared onboarding process, with any required service-specific checks.
Can I run payroll from this account?
Not at this time; salary payments are currently not supported on these accounts. If payroll is essential from day one, tell us and we will do our best to find ways to support your needs.
Is this a trust service?
No. Payment accounts will launch after our PSP license is granted. Psagot Equity will provide the account without being appointed as trustee. Our trust services are available separately.
